Outdoor weddings...

are risky business. Tashkent is unforgettable for its ability to be have warm fuzzy morning, and piercing cold evenings in Autumn. However, the first week of September was warm and pleasant, we settled on the outdoors, which were still tented in case of rain. The area was surrounded by groomed trees, flowers and bushes. Hence, the idea of a white and green wedding occurred naturally. I was never a big fan of the colour green, and seeing that it was September, yellow and orange tones would have gone so much better-but for some reason green seemed perfect then and there. We decided not to over do it with the bright green colours, and just have a few accents here and there. We ended up having white, green, and olive baloons around the area, green napkins on the tables, a lot of floral greenery, and green ribbons on the tables. Our cake was also three stories tall, and was decorated with beautiful white roses, and green petals.Everything else was classical white, there was no other theme in the wedding, and guests were not asked to dress any specific way, simply because they were of such different ages and classes.

  1. Wonderful theme! Green itself is a very warm and easy for eyes color. I am am sure it all looked very beautiful, classy and tasteful. You should post pictures of everything that concerns your own wedding, you know? It will really help to imagine whole idea that hides behind photos. Another proof that you all did such a great and perfect job on your wedding.

  4. Its a great idea, actually I was flipping though a magazine some time ago, and there was a very happy bride on the beach, and I told Alex "Oh I wish we would have done that" he just looked at it and said "She is sweaty, itchy from the salt, and she has sand in her shoes! Would you want to have that on your wedding day?" I was speechless.

  5. he is just freaking out that you want another wedding this time on the beach :)

it is usually more casual. you wear less makeup, no dresses with tight corsets. and there is a platform they put on the sand so that the sand does not get into anyone's shoes. it is not that how because of the sea breeze. and the sunset is fabulous. imagine the view when you say your vows!!

btw we do weddings at our resort ;)

  6. Actually beach weddings are awesome! We have many in Pattaya!!! Levi and I considered doing it, but we have barely any friends or relatives here. Beach weddings usually take place closer to the evening and plus there is ALWAYS a breeze from the sea and you won't get all sweaty. Plus it does make sense to wear something light and no shoes at all. Beach weddings can be really beautiful with all the decorations and it would make sense to make it at some resort that is located right next to the sea.

  7. vera +1 from me
and what i also LOVE about resort weddings is that the resort will do EVERYTHING for you. you just have to tell them what you want and show up on your wedding day looking stunning :)
oh the horror of making your own wedding preparations!!

  8. Ya i agree, it is beautiful and romantic and unique, but sometimes just not practical. Besides, in our culture they are dont have the vows ceremony, and you will not be able to have people seated for more than half an hour. Its a very culture specify custom. I would love to attend one though (DASHA!) any dates set yet???

  11. Ours will be in church, then small dinner! Huge wedding will be in Houston! This is for us! LOL We are going on honeymoon to Phi Phi Island though. So YAY! As I said earlier it would have made more sense to make a beach wedding if everyone were able to be here.
