Cyclone Phet picks up

A whole island off the coast of Oman has been evacuated. the storm is categorized as a category 5 or strong category 4 cyclone with one minute sustained winds of around 150/160 mph. Cyclone Phet is moving at 10 km/h an is highly unpredictable. So far we have bright skies and a few clounds- and the local radio is calling this "the quite before the storm". The cyclone is due to hit the coast at around 4 pm today, with powerful winds and heavy rainstorms. Everyone is advised to stay away from Wadis and low lying sea areas. The Meteorology department is however calling this "a wild guess"as cyclones are unpredictable creatures.
Keep your fingers crossed for us, and everyone in Oman- please be safe!
XOXO
